A note on the case of the image reads: “My father and mother Milkins, - Emily Brundage.” This image was possibly taken on their honeymoon. The cartridge pleated dress with tight sleeves along with other dating markers indicates a late 1840s date for this image. The young woman is holding an Iroquois bag that is edged with a bead fringe and decorated with both floral and double-curve motifs.
