Portrait of Blue Sky, a Cherokee. Many Native Americans live life in two different worlds; one of the Indian and one of the white man. This compels them to be two different people when their desire is to be one whole person. Today, the tide is changing. Many are relearning the old ways and gaining strength and direction from them. To quote Blue Sky, “Having travelled in many directions and asked many questions, I have come to the center, a place of beauty. It is all around me and it is me. May the beauty of the Blue Sky go on forever in every direction. Hear my song.”
