This study of the Teton (Sioux) warrior and medicine man Ungloghe-Lute (Red Shirt) was influence by a series of books Gerry read years ago by Carlos Castaneda and his encounter with the Yaqui medicine man Don Juan.
A spirit warrior has developed his or her awareness to a level where non-verbal communication is possible with all the kingdoms of the earth. A spirit warrior also has the ability to gather knowledge from his or her physical environment without being detected on the physical plane. This skill could be beneficial if they were hunting for food or if an enemy was just over the next ridge. Here the subject is depicted in the two worlds of the warrior: the physical or earthly world, and the spiritual or inner world. From the physical, Red Shirt projects his consciousness, symbolized by the distant sphere, into the inner world. It is from there that his quest for true knowledge begins.
